Chown

The chown command is used to set ownership permissions on a unix-based server (not to be confused with chmod). Generally speaking, you should never need to change ownership of the files on the server, and in our managed hosting, you also don't have access to do this directly yourself (this is for security reasons). If you feel that there is a file ownership problem in spite of this, our customer service team should be contacted to take a look for you.
