SSL certificates can be installed on any VPS or dedicated server, as well as shared and reseller web hosting when a Dedicated IP is in use. All information required by the SSL certificate authority you are purchasing the certificate from can be generated in your web-based control panel, as well as the actual process of doing the installation.

  • In cPanel, select SSL/TLS Manager under Security
  • Choose Generate, view, or delete SSL certificate signing requests. to generate a CSR
    • You will more than likely be copying/pasting this text into the interface where you are purchasing the SSL Certificate from
  • After that, go back to the SSL/TLS Manager using the link at the bottom and choose Generate, view, upload, or delete SSL certificates.
    • Upload or paste in the SSL key that you generated using the CSR (another string of text), and you're all set!
